Case APL09-40. Specimen is a pinfish, Lagodon rhomboides. TL = 140 mm. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd dorsal fin spines absent.   The proximal pterygiophores associated with 2nd and 3rd dorsal fin spines are absent.   There is a 9 mm concave region in the soft tissues along the dorsum at this level.   The 1st pterygiophore has mild caudal angulation. Orientation of 1st through 6th distal pterygiophores are moderately disoriented relative to respective neural vertebral spines and each other.   The ventral aspect of caudal fin has artifactual tear. Compare with normal pinfish radiograph.
